Discipleship

C3

Christ, Community, Charity

Discipleship is not a destination but a journey, one that is possible only as it is shared in authentic community.  This is good news beyond our salvation -

Jesus not only empowers us to experience his life of authentic community but also uses us to attract and teach others how to live His way.

This reality gives each of us a sense of meaning and purpose to our lives as individuals and as a community.  It creates a framework for discipleship that includes the following:

  • Personal growth within the community.
  • Dynamic relationships.
  • Service rendered both to those within the community and those who are our neighbors.

Community is a word that summarizes the teachings of Jesus.  Authentic community is learning to live the way He taught.  Progress on this journey is an on-going process of learning from God's Word and from each other.

In order to promote and grow community at CCC, we have workshops that give us practical tools to grow in our faith, Small Groups, which are one of several primary places to experience fellowship, and Bible Study classes to help each of us grow in becoming more Christ-like.

WON'T YOU JOIN US ON OUR JOURNEY?

WHAT'S HAPPENING!
