Worship is a wonderful way we as Christians express our gratitude to God for His amazing grace in our lives. As we worship, we come together as one unified body of believers. Revelation 5:11-14 describes a great scene in Heaven of thousands upon thousands singing with one voice. Our worship services will seek to emphasize that unity and as a result, we will sing a mixture of contemporary praise music as well as great hymns of the Church's tradition. We believe that worship is more than singing and so we also seek to incorporate video, drama, dance, children's ministry, and other forms of the arts into our worship experiences.
Worship
Our English word worship comes from an old English word worthship. To worship then is to declare that God is "worthy."
Ascribe to the Lord, O families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name...Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. Psalm 96:7,8
Worth is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and praise. Revelation 5:12
As we study the Scriptures, it becomes vitally clear how important worship is, whether to the nation of Israel, a local church, or our personal life. We woship the triune God, giving praise and adoration to the Father, whom we have come to know through the work of Jesus Christ, prompted by the working of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to creating personally relevant worship services that bring people face to face with God.
WORSHIP TIME
Please plan to join us for one of our Easter services, Sunday, April 4 at 8:00, 9:30 or 11:00 am. A light continental breakfast will be served from 9:00 to 9:30 and from 10:30 to 11:00 am. If you do not have a church home, we would love to have you come and worship with us.
Our normal Sunday morning worship services begin at 9:00 am and 10:30 am. The Coffee Bar is open each Sunday morning at 8:30 am to 11:00 am; it's a good time to fellowship before your adult class or the service!
Beginning Sunday, April 11, Pastor Dean will begin a new sermon series "Real Jesus...Real People...Real Life." The Gospels record Jesus encountering people from every walk and station in life during his time on earth. We will study how Jesus connected and communicated with some of these people. We hope you can join us!
